Did you recieve a computer from TechFIN? The below resources will assist you in setting up and using your computer.
Types of TechFIN Computers
TechFIN computers fall into 4 categories: Windows, Linux, Chromebook, and MacOS. Not sure which one you have? Look for one of these logos on the outside of the machine. If there is no logo on the outside, start up the machine and see which logo appears on the screen.




First Steps
1. Connect all cables and power the computer on
2. Follow the prompts to set up the primary user *
3. Add a new user for each person in your household
* For Windows computers: if you don’t want to create a Microsoft account during setup, follow the steps outlined in this video: press Shift+F10 at the Choose Network screen, type “start ms-chx:localonly” and click Enter, follow prompts to create a local user. Pro tip: for this to work your computer cannot be connected to the internet via ethernet cable
